During a trip to Germany, Paul Dehncke one of our past skippers, visited Warnemunde near Rostock, Germany for the Hanse Sail 2018 event.
This is the largest gathering of square rigged ships in the world. Whilst there he visited the local sea rescue group Warnemunde DGzRS and was invited out on the rescue boat the Vormann Jantzen. On leaving the Vormann Jantzen the captain presented Paul, on behalf of the Mandurah VMR with a framed photograph of their vessel signed by the duty crew.
